Ameesha Patel DRAGGED to court in multi-crore cheque-bounce FRAUD case — deets inside

Actress Ameesha Patel has found herself in a multi-crore cheque bounce fraud case. The petition filed in film actress Ameesha Patel's case was heard in the Jharkhand High Court. After listening to all the parties in the case, the court directed both parties to have a written response ready in two weeks, considering the seriousness of the case. The petition was heard in the Jharkhand High Court by Judge Anand Sen. The judge heard the case through video conference from his residence. 

At the same time, the petitioner's advocate and the government's advocate kept their side from their respective houses. The litigant's grievance is that the company of the Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and Gadar Ek Prem Katha actress has been accused of cheating by taking money in the name of making a film. In the same case, the petition was earlier filed in a lower court. The same has now been challenged in the High Court. As per the said petition, Ajay Kumar Singh, the complainant, met Ameesha Patel during an event in Harmu Housing Colony in 2017 and got an offer to invest in films. In the name of making the movie, Desi Magic, he transferred Rs. 2.5 crores to Ameesha Patel's account.

Ajay Kumar Singh is the proprietor of Lovely World Entertainment. As per his complaint, Ameesha Patel defulated on making the film promised by her company and, subsequently, did not return his money. It states that Ameesha Patel has cheated Ajay Kumar Singh. He demanded his money back upon realising that the film was not being made. He was then given a check on behalf of the actress, which bounced. The court has directed the next hearing of the case to be held two weeks later.
