Why protein is important in your diet?

Proteins are made up of amino acids which function as cell’s building blocks. Cells need protein for their actions. Protein is one of the main sources of your body. So every part of the body needs protein like your hair, bones, blood, muscles, and skin needs protein to function in its role.

 

 What happens if you don’t take enough protein?

 

  • Swelling in your legs – Taking less protein causes swelling in your feet and legs and that is called edema.
  • Hair loss – You buy all the expensive hair products like fancy shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, straighter and all that valuable kinds of stuff will definitely come to no use when there is no protein is being consumed and your hair starts to shed and becomes dry.
  • Flaky skin – Low protein is also the reason that causes redness, itchy, white flakes, and skin peeling.
  • Periods in time – Regular intake of protein keeps menstrual cycles in well-ordered check and it lows your menstrual pain.
  • Muscles – Anyone who wants to build your body muscles proteins is the primary source of your body and less protein leads to muscle weakness.
  • High blood pressure – Low intake of protein causes so many deficiencies and it obviously leads to hypertension and then high blood pressure.
  • Bones – Not only drinking milk keeps your bones strong but protein plays its part in that too. So proper check-in your protein has a lower risk of bone fractures.
  • Immunity ­– Protein boots your immune system. Not only protein any food source you take it boots your immune system.

Dairy products:

Mostly all dairy products are good in proteins. Milk, Cheese, and yogurt are high in protein.

Nuts and seeds:

Chia seeds, Flaxseeds, Pumpkin seeds, Almonds, Walnuts, Pistachios, and cashews.

Fruits:

Guava, Jackfruit, Figs, Kiwi, Avocados, Cantaloupe, Banana, and apricots. 

Vegetables:

Green Peas, Spinach, Sweet corn, Brussels Sprouts, Mushrooms, Broccoli, and Potatoes.

Non-Vegetarian:

Eggs, Chicken, Red meat, and Fish.
