John Green his known for his young adult fiction and showing the world
what adults go through. There are movie adaptations for his books like for the
Faults in Our Stars and Paper Town, they were greatly appreciated. As far as I
know, a book will let you know more about the character where a movie cannot.
Turtles All The way Down is one of his best books. The story covers high school
romance, friendship, mental disorder, and a mystery that is leading all. This
is a story about a girl struggling with her mental illness and a boy with his
idleness. Aza Holmes has an obsessive mental illness. Half the book is on her
thought process when you are through few pages you could actually tell what she
will be thinking next, it's mostly in her thoughts we spend time. Though there
is love, friendship, and mystery at last the main focus is about how Aza and
her struggle. Aza is a sixteen-year-old girl and it's only her mom and her best
friend Daisy whom she spends her day with. Daisy is full of fun and with a lot
of talks that is totally opposite to Aza. The story begins with the
disappearance of Russell Pickett, a billionaire. An award is proposed for
anyone who comes with the clue that can help in finding Mr. Pickett. Daisy is more interested in solving the
mystery and mainly to get that award. Aza, who already knows Mr. Pickett’s son,
Davis. Daisy asks Aza to come along with her idea on solving the case and
getting the money. Aza for the sake of her friend agrees to meet Davis, as that
was one of Daisy’s plans. Davis, lost his mother when he was a child. After his
father’s disappearance, he stays supportive of his brother, Noah. He has no
interest in his father but we could see in the later chapters that he doesn’t
want to lose his father too. He tries to be in Noah’s side to bring him back to
shape, who is broken by his father’s disappearance. He struggles with his alone
life and is tired of people, those who are wanting to be close to him just for
his money. The first meeting of Aza and Davis was after a long time and they
were still able to get along well. But Davis does not know the truth that Aza
came there to meet him only to solve the mystery and to get money. Though it
was not her intention but Daisy’s, Aza
feels guilty as she has feelings for Davis and truly for his loss. Aza and
Davis start to meet each other often and they date eventually. Being in a
relationship affects Aza's illness more. Sometimes you can even laugh at her
stupid thoughts but in time you turn into her in the process, that’s the power
of a good writer. But what happens when
Davis finds about Aza's illness and her true motive for meeting him in the
first place.were greatly appreciated. As far as I know a book will let you
about.
